How to create your own career luck?
Proposal:
Ever hear how some people are in the right place at the right time and they catch a big break? Weird but not out of the question. This will help anyone craft their lives so those "breaks" go your way.
Try out different things. Trying different things will help you iron out what you want to do and how you want to do it.
Don't be afraid to create different avenues for that luck. Whether it's writing about it, creating reviews on it, a podcast, whatever it may be. Creating different avenues enables you to stay in that realm, that focus of what your passion is in order to go forward to eventually find your career path.
Once you know what you want to do, start creating in that field. No matter what that field is, create more content, create more avenues for you to be involved in. Whether it's group chats, hackathons, etc. That way you will get exposure to that potential, that craft on a consistent basis.
Envision yourself in that role. This will help you understand what it's like to be there. And if you don't really know what it's like to be there, find someone who does. Work backwards, find someone who is doing that job and ask them for their insight, their advice, their experiences, the places they went to, the people they talked to.
Get used to “failing”. Don’t let the fear of failing hold you back. Because the more you press into the things that you don't know the better off you'll be.
Communicate. Once you know what it is that you want to do, tell your family, tell your friends, tell whomever it is, because chances are that they all know people who know people. This way you can create a compounding network of people who are able to help you in achieving your career goal.
Impact:
You have to be open to how your career is going to move and change and identify different characteristics or traits that you want to find in a career. Once you identify those things that you want to do, then you can go about pursuing that goal. The best way to do that is to try out different things, to explore as many paths as you can. This will help you find that one thing that you are really passionate about and that you love to do.

Invention of the week: The Vocera Smartbadge is the device that lets clinicians reach other team members using voice-activated commands. Because it’s worn like a necklace or pinned to scrubs, they never have to stop what you’re doing, reach in their pocket and pull out a phone, or take off their gloves to interact with another device. The Smartbadge has proved especially useful during the COVID- 19 pandemic because it allows clinicians to make calls without removing personal protective equipment. From Ideaprov perspective, this could have a wide range. It could potentially be used for communication between EMTs and then also the emergency or trauma room centers, so that way they could get real-time information and be better prepared for when effective patients are coming in to the hospital.
